Mindset & Awareness

Skills you can use anywhere. Perceive, assess, maneuver and leverage environment to your advantage. Environment (anything in, on, or around you) is the first consideration in any scenario, communicates the problem required to solve and dictates the action needed. Thus, awareness (perception of environmental factors and pre-event indicators) is critical for protection. Starting with informing your awareness and practices to develop a strategic and proactive observation, you learn to identify, assess, and nullify threats (natural or man-made). This is both an independent module and an integrated layer within all training.

Essential Combatives

Dynamic self-defense training for anyone. This is the core training that quickly builds the platform for an effective, contextual and versatile combat skill set to gain the initiative or counter the critical categories of attacks—in less time. It develops acute awareness, proprioception, angle and position recognition of attacks, critical thinking, quick decision-making and evasive maneuver tactics for practical hand-to-hand combatives (ie. striking and grappling from standing or grounded), as well as the essential equalizers for self-protection. Maneuvering and leveraging environment is also a critical factor for an overall advantage.

Integrated Self-Defense

Contextual factors for protection. If an assailant has breached your zones of protection or you’re taken by surprise, effective counter-measures are needed to regain the initiative. Pinpointing the most probable and contextual scenarios, you’ll gain a versatile skill set of proven tactics to counter various categories of attack. Doing more with less using an efficient training method, you’ll learn counter-maneuvers to grabs, punches, kicks, holds, locks, chokes, takedowns, ground maneuvers, multiple opponents, as well as weapon countermeasures.

Equalizers & Force-Multipliers

Integrated tools and tactics. When there’s a disparity of force or a weapon is involved, and escaping is not an option, a force multiplier—an equalizer—dramatically increases your survivability. This concise training brings it all together. You’ll quickly develop a proven integrated and versatile skill set using personal carry tools, everyday items or tools of opportunity from your immediate environment for self-protection. It addresses the justifiable use-of-force used in self-defense situations and validates how force disparities (i.e. size, strength, multiple opponents, weapons) are effectively approached. You’ll also learn maneuver tactics to dominate dynamic armed and unarmed attacks and use environment to your advantage.

Scenario Training

Simulating the experience. A simulation with environmental factors makes the objective all the more real. Scenario training creates an interactive experience to apply all decision-making skills and all physical skills through a multi-level process. Engaging everyday environmental factors such as architecture, barriers, cars, manmade and natural terrain, high-low-no-light conditions, individual and social scenarios, you’ll experience, benchmark, and enhance your ability to make decisions to apply your skillsets.

Combat Conditioning

Outperform the threat. When skills and tactics end, grit and conditioning can be the deciding factor. Radius Combatives training includes specialized speed and agility training through martial mechanics, maneuver tactics, cognitive conditioning, and stamina to gain advantage over the threat. It’s a double-factor training module that integrates and enhances your survival with explosive, practical martial movements and cross-training modalities.
