On Conquering the Essentials
Conquer the essentials in the shortest time possible.
In its simplest form, training and applying Filipino Martial Arts—like Pekiti-Tirsia Kali—should be dynamic, effective, efficient, adaptable, contextual and provable.
Never should it be fanciful or superfluous. It should always strive to be practical and applicable.
In fact, contextual skill development and performance should especially have a steep increase in the short-term.
This requires a specific training methodology and specific programming (both mentally and physically).
When training any martial art or self-defense system, if you’re not training this way, ask yourself why.
